Two former SEALs from San Diego killed along with Ambassador in Libya

A brush fire growning out of control, and the Obama administration remains clueless

First, the murdered you don’t hear much about with our top-notch national journalists being what they are –

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – News 8 has learned that two former Navy SEALS from San Diego were among those killed in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya.

Glen Doherty, 42, and Tyrone Woods, 41, were both on security detail at the consulate in Benghazi when the compound was attacked.

ENCINITAS (CNS) – Friends and family Thursday mourned an ex-Navy SEAL from Encinitas who was among one of four Americans killed in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Glen Doherty, 42, was killed Tuesday along with Ambassador Chris Stevens and two other Americans when an armed force attacked the consulate compound in Benghazi, according to the victim’s friends. The Boston-born Doherty settled in Encinitas about four years ago after spending seven years as a SEAL.

Doherty’s sister, Katie Quigley, told the Boston Herald that her brother was working for a private security firm contracted by the government to provide security at the consulate, and that he flew to Libya on Sept. 5.

Friends said he also worked locally as a trainer at the CrossFIT/SEALFIT Gym in Encinitas.

I’m hoping whoever took their lives paid for them with their own.

Now, is it just possible they could all be alive today if Obama was doing his job rather than campaigning for his job? Let’s count the ways.

1. Private Security Contractor Lobbied To Beef Up Benghazi Security, But Never Got The Contract
“Mercenaries,” Kos sniffed. “Screw ’em. I feel nothing,” he sniffed.

Maybe some “mercenaries” could have prevented four murders.

Under this agreement, extensive security precautions are put in place, including low-profile armoured vehicles, run-flat tyres, sufficient weapons, ammunition and trained personnel, as well as a tried and tested command and control system. But sources have told the BBC that on the advice of a US diplomatic regional security officer, the mission in Benghazi was not given the full contract despite lobbying by private contractors…

Given the unstable security situation in Benghazi and eastern Libya that has developed this year, it is surprising that security precautions for such a sensitive diplomatic mission were not more robust.

2. No Marines for Libyan Ambassador, Full Security Detail for Valerie Jarrett Vacation

Ambassador Chris Stevens did not have a Marine detail in Benghazi, Libya. But White House Senior Advisor and Obama confidante Valerie Jarrett has a full Secret Service detail on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, according to Democratic pollster Pat Caddell.
That’s the pathetic foreign policy of the Obama administration, says Caddell today in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News. “Jarrett seems to have a 24 hour, around the clock detail, with five or six agents full time,” Caddell explains. “The media has been completely uninterested. We don’t provide security for our ambassador in Libya, but she needs a full Secret Service security detail. And nobody thinks there’s anything wrong with this. And nobody in the press will ask. What kind of slavish stoogery are they perpetrating here?
“This country has reached the point of absurdity. There are people dead because we don’t have security details for them. But she’s privileged to have a full Secret Service detail on vacation?”

3. Colonel: Hillary Made Decision Not to Post Marines at Benghazi

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Fox News military analyst Colonel David Hunt laid the blame for the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans at the Benghazi, Libya American mission on Hillary Clinton and the State Department:

The State Department just allowed our guys to get killed. If you approve no bullets in guns for the mission security guards and an outhouse for a mission, you’re inviting it.

Earlier, on Howie Carr’s radio show Thursday, Colonel Hunt said that the American mission at Benghazi “was like a cardboard building, there wasn’t even bullet proof glass.” In addition, Hunt said the security guards inside the mission didn’t have bullets:

Howie Carr: They weren’t allowed to have bullets, is that correct?

Colonel Hunt: That’s true. They were private security. The rules of engagement were ridiculous.

4. Obama Regime Was Warned in Advance of Embassy Attacks but Did Nothing (via Moonbattery)

According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and “lockdown”, under which movement is severely restricted.

Mr Stevens had been on a visit to Germany, Austria and Sweden and had just returned to Libya when the Benghazi trip took place with the US embassy’s security staff deciding that the trip could be undertaken safely.

So the anniversary of 9/11 was near at hand, Obama and his Democrat media allies were just finishing their Obama love fest where everyone took a turn spiking the bin Laden ball in Barry’s honor, so needless to say the al Qaeda gang was getting pissed, and nobody thought to raise the overseas alert level? Even after the killing of Abu Yahya al-Libi, which prompted bin Laden’s heir Ayman al-Zawahiri to call for attacks just this past Monday:

The possibility of involvement of Islamist extremist groups in the strike is reinforced by the recent call for revenge by Ayman al-Zawahiri, who took over as leader of the al-Qaeda after Osama bin Laden’s death in May, 2011. In a 42-minute video on Monday, he acknowledged the death of Libyan-born cleric Hassan Mohammed Qaed, better known as Abu Yahya al-Libi, during a U.S. drone attack in June. The al-Qaeda head called upon Muslims, especially Libyans, to avenge the killing of Libi, who was a key aide to bin Laden. “With the martyrdom of Sheikh Hassan Mohammed Qaed, may God have mercy on him, people will flock even more to his writings and his call, God willing,” Zawahiri said in the video. “His blood urges you and incites you to fight and kill the crusaders.”

Odd with all this stacking up against B. Hussein Obama, still the media is trying frantically to pin the blame on Romney, even to the point of blaming him for the lack of media coverage of Obama’s massing failures in Libya. Weird, that.

Now people are chanting “Obama, Obama, we are all Osamas,” and the brush fire grows ever larger.
