Who else but a leftist, elitist snob would take personal shots at Paula Deen?

Whatever you may think about her food being healthy (she does actually have “light” recipes, by the way), Paula Deen is a real sweetheart that you’d love to live next door to.

She does tons of charity work, from The Bethesda Home for Boys to donating food to local Atlanta food banks; seems like a gal everyone would love, right?

Apparently not, if you’re a corporation-hating liberal hypocrite like her fellow “chef” Anthony Bourdain.

Anthony Bourdain has a TV show of his own, on the Discovery Networks (large corporation) owned Travel Channel called “No Reservations“, where he gets to jet all over the world (burning fossil fuel) tasting local cuisine and describing the culture. Sounds like fun.

The fun ends when he gets to describing other people in the food show business, like Paula. Interviewed in TV Guide recently, he had this to say of TV Food Network chefs like Paula Deen;

On Paula Deen: “The worst, most dangerous person to America is clearly Paula Deen. She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations and she’s proud of the fact that her food is f–king bad for you […] plus, her food sucks.”

On Guy Fieri: “I look at Guy Fieri and I just think, ‘Jesus, I’m glad that’s not me.'”

On Rachael Ray: “Does she even cook anymore? I don’t know why she bothers. To her credit, she never said she was good at it.”

On Sandra Lee: “There was an incident with Sandra Lee where I ran into her [after criticizing her publicly]. It was deeply terrible. Don’t mess with her. I rarely feel uncomfortable, but she has a powerful force. I hate her works on this planet, but she is not someone to be dismissed, clearly.”

Wait. “The worst, most dangerous person to America is clearly Paula Deen.” What??

The most dangerous people in America are people who think like Anthony here. They pass laws that screw life up for everyone else, all the while thinking they know better than anyone else.

Well, Paula Deen didn’t take his crap, thankfully. Being nice as pie, Paula replied to Bourdain;

“Anthony Bourdain needs to get a life. You don’t have to like my food, or Rachael’s, Sandra’s and Guy’s. But it’s another thing to attack our character. I wake up every morning happy for where I am in life. It’s not all about the cooking, but the fact that I can contribute by using my influence to help people all over the country. In the last two years, my partners and I have fed more than 10 million hungry people by bringing meat to food banks.”

Basting Bourdain for his apparent lack of charity and his attitude, she said, “My good friends Rachael, Guy and Sandra are the most generous charitable folks I know. They give so much of their time and money to help the food-deprived, sick children and abandoned animals. I have no idea what Anthony has done to contribute besides being irritable.

Deen continued, “You know, not everybody can afford to pay $58 for prime rib or $650 for a bottle of wine. My friends and I cook for regular families who worry about feeding their kids and paying the bills . . . It wasn’t that long ago that I was struggling to feed my family, too.”

On Fox and Friends, Paula Deen said more;

Deen responded to Bourdain’s charges on Fox Friday morning, saying she was “shocked,“ and wondered if it was a ”publicity thing“ or if maybe ”“somebody had just peed in his bowl of cereal that morning.

Okay, it could be a simple publicity stunt; maybe Anthony Bourdain’s ratings are sliding and he needed to be controversial?

Then again, maybe this is a symptom of a greater problem in America. I hear it from my own brothers; Corporations are evil – government is good and great. It’s like the brain-eating amoeba that enters through a carelessly unguarded orifice, and rots the brain. It’s leftist/liberal ideology and it’s seriously the most dangerous thing in America.

People like Paula Deen dangerous? Not so much.
